My grandmother wasn’t a very active person in adulthood. She was a bookworm, like me, and was always more interested in that kind of thing than stretching or participating in sports.
As she grew older this took its toll. She stopped standing up straight and developed a bit of a curve to her spine. Her health also wasn’t that great, as she would often come down with pneumonia and other illnesses.
My mom says that my grandmother started doing yoga for a little while, before I was born. Apparently it made a great big difference in how my grandmother looked and walked: She started standing up straighter, and had more energy. She was obviously the healthiest she’d ever been.
Unfortunately, my grandmother had a stroke when I was very little. Not long afterward, a new type of yoga, known as Dahn Yoga, started to become popular in the United States. Dahn Yoga’s creator, Ilchi Lee, drew from the principles of yoga, tai chi, and martial arts.
Since the first Dahn Yoga school opened in 1991 in Philadelphia, this form of excercise has spread throughout the United States and the entire world. You can find Dahn Yoga in New York all the way to California. Chicago Dahn Yoga has also gained in popularity.
Dahn Yoga has been cited as curing or alleviating symptoms of many maladies. I wonder if my grandmother had had access to Dahn Yoga before her stroke, if that would have helped her recover more quickly.

At some point or another, almost everyone has had a tough time sleeping. Whether the problem is falling asleep, staying asleep, or sleeping comfortably, there are a few steps you can take to make sure your night is a restful one.
Watch your diet. Cut caffeine out. If you must have a cup of coffee, make sure have it earlier in the day. And definitely cut out ALL sugars after the sun goes down.
Create a relaxing environment just before bedtime. Have a routine. Take a bath. Read ten pages of a book. Then try to catch some Z’s.
Make sure your mattress doesn’t need to be replaced. The average mattress lasts up to ten years. If yours is older… it’s time to invest in a new one. Your body will thank you.
Of course, some sleep problems require intervention from an expert. For example, if habitual snoring and breathing interruptions are your problem you may have a condition known as sleep apnea. Only a doctor can tell you for sure.
But if this is the problem, then there’s one very good piece of advice….
Try a CPAP machine. These devices have an air pump, tubing and a CPAP mask for either your face or just your nose. Just hook up to the sleep apnea machine every night and you’ll soon notice a huge difference.

A lot of problems arise from unlisted phone numbers. Some people with unlisted phone numbers act as though they have complete telecommunications immunity and act in all sorts of inappropriate ways in the public sector. Using an unlisted phone number search can cut down on the impact that these purveyors of bad timing and bad calling can inflict on a normal society.
With an unlisted search or with a reverse cell phone lookup, you can put a stop to these individuals and can take back the telecommunications technology for its proper use of calling people about recipes, ordering a pizza, or organizing a picnic. It’s true that prank callers, telemarketers, and other individuals take up valuable telephone time in the average North American home. With “Do Not Call” lists seemingly arriving without much credibility, using a reverse cell phone lookup or similar services may seem like the last line of defense. In all reality, it very likely is.
While there are some companies that may assist when it comes to finding people or information, most companies have their hands tied by the simple reality that the government does not have a cellular phone list. Using people finding services can only go so far as to finding the answers you’re looking for. That’s why a reverse phone search can be so important. Not only can you find what you’re looking for in a matter of minutes, but you can set things right again in the world with a simple reverse phone search. Take your power back today!

Many states require safety inspections to make sure your car won’t be a safety hazard on the road. As a car owner, it’s your job to make sure your vehicle meets state inspections Houston requirements.
Your Houston safety inspection will test:
- Exterior lights, such as turn signals, brake lights, and head lights
- The darkness of your window tint (to make sure you can safely see out your windows, even at night)
- Whether your seat belts work properly
- The amount of tread you have left on your tires
- Whether your breaks work properly
- Whether your power steering system works properly
Texas state inspections also include emission tests, which check to be sure your car is running within certain standards, and not polluting the city’s air too much. This includes testing:
- Your exhaust system, making sure you have all the required components and there aren’t any leaks
- Your fuel cap, making sure it seals correctly and doesn’t allow fuel vapors to leak past into the outside air
- Your emissions, making sure that your car’s exhaust doesn’t contain too much carbon monoxide or other components that exacerbate air pollution
Depending on the results of your state inspections test, you might need to have auto repair work done to make your car meet the state’s requirements. For example, if your brake system is malfunctioning, you may need to find a Houston brake repair shop.

Collapsible koozies are a great invention. They help keep your drinks cool while being small enough to carry around anywhere. Unfortunately, the human memory isn’t always so great. People often leave their custom coozies at home and then don’t have them when they want them. The best way to prevent this problem is to keep a bunch of koozies in the places where they’ll be most useful to you.
Here are three places where you should put a coozie so that you’re never without one when you want it:
- Your car. Chances are that if you’re going to be going somewhere, you’re going there in your car. Since that’s the case, keeping a coozie or two in the trunk can help to guarantee that you’ve always got one handy.
- Your travel bag. There are going to be times when you aren’t actually in your car but are somewhere else in the country. Travel is a time we frequently forget our conveniences so packing a koozie in your travel bag before you even go on a trip can make it easier to have one handy. Travel’s a great time to have a cold drink, too!
- Your day bag. In addition to your travel bag, you probably have a bag that you carry around on a more regular basis. Whether it’s a purse, a laptop bag or a gym bag, it can hold a koozie without much problem.
You can just buy cold drinks wherever you go but then you’ll have a collection of stadium cups and plastic bottles to contend with. Carry around koozies to keep things simpler.
