Helping Your Child Cope with Learning Disabilities

When I taught preschool, I used to know a girl who had Asberger’s syndrome, which is a mild form of autism. When she was young it was pretty noticeable, because of the way she had a hard time interacting with everyone. But when she got older her parents got her a private tutor, and before long you couldn’t even tell that she had a learning disability.
Washington DC private tutors are a great way to help kids with learning disabilities keep up with their studies. Children with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, and Asberger’s still need to get a good education if they are going to go to college and pursue a career. Washington DC in-home tutors make this possible by providing the focused, one-on-one help that these kids need.
For instance, many kids with learning disabilities really struggle with reading. Poor reading skills can in turn make the rest of school a struggle, since pretty much every other subject requires kids to be able to read well enough to read the textbooks, study, and read directions. Washington DC reading tutors can help them learn the reading skills they need to be able to keep up.
