Prioritizing Your Wedding Planning
By netGossip on Jul 22, 2008 in Society
Some people take years - or at least one full year - to plan out their weddings to the very last detail. Other people dash off to Vegas and elope with little to no planning. The majority of couples will fall somewhere in between. This is fine but it tends to cause stress for people who want a perfect wedding because they try to fit too much planning into a short period of time. The trick is to prioritize.
It’s important to figure out which aspects of a wedding really need your attention and which ones don’t. This will allow you to make quick decisions on things that don’t matter so much so that the bulk of your planning can go into the things that do matter. Ultimately, this means that your wedding will have the important things that make it special but that it won’t cause you undue stress in the planning.
There are many small details that don’t matter that much when all is said and done. You can drive yourself crazy trying to figure out if you should have tiger lily wedding invitations or white roses wedding invitations or butterfly wedding invitations but in the end it doesn’t matter. This is a small decision that you should make quickly and move on. In contrast, decisions about who to invite and what the dress should look like are things that are actually worthy of extra time and planning. Prioritize in this way and the wedding will go smoothly even if you don’t have a lot of time to plan.
