I will be the first to say that I have never been very excited about job hunting.  My biggest problem with it would be the amount of time that you need to invest, and the amount of rejection that you sometimes face.  No one wants to be rejected, so for me, job hunting is not a fun pastime.

I was recently laid off from my job as a cameraman at a television station in town, so I have found myself having to look for a job again.  There is nothing more depressing than dropping off resume after resume and not getting any feedback as to whether they would consider you for the position or not.  In some respects, these past few weeks have been the most depressing of my life.

But I was a little excited today when I was looking in the classifieds section of the newspaper today.  It seems that a local film company, Actuality Films is looking for a film and video cameraman.  Since my working background is in television, I feel that I have a good shot at getting the job.

So, I am going to catch the bus in about half an hour and drop off my resume.  It won’t hurt to try, right?
