Caught With Drugs in California

caught-with-drugs

A friend of mine recently called me up after getting into a little bit of trouble. He was driving through California when he got stopped for speeding. He has a bit of a mouth on him so he got into an argument with the cop which led to his car being searched. He had a little bit of illegal drugs in the car and therefore he ended up getting arrested.

He had never been in trouble before so he was freaking out when he called me. I’ve never been in this type of trouble either but I had a basic idea of what we needed to do. I knew that the first thing that we had to do was to get a bail bond to get the guy out of jail. I contacted a bail bonds San Jose agent and learned how to do that. We took care of that and I picked him up so we could deal with the rest of the situation.

Since it was his first offense, he ended up having a fairly easy time with the whole situation. He didn’t get into too much legal trouble but that’s going to be on his record forever now. California is a state that is serious about its drug laws so he’s definitely going to have to be really careful from here on out!

This Movie I Saw

I just rented a movie the other day that was fairly good.  It was a cop movie made in the Bay Area.  I normally just sit and watch movies with no thoughts (other than how good looking the women in them are), but this one made me think a bit.  There were these three guys who went out for a weekend, and ended up getting arrested because their car looked like someone else’s.  Not a good situation if you think about it.

The movie ran its course about them getting picked up, getting arrested, and booked, and then making a phone call.  They kept whining to each other about how they had to get out.  Some old drunk leaned over from his cell and yelled at them to get a bail bond from some place called either Bail Bonds San Francisco or Bail Bonds San Jose.  Two of the guys told him to shut up, but the third shut up and looked up what he said on the wall next to the pay phone.

In movie time, they were out in a matter of minutes, and sitting in a lawyer’s office.  The movie went on from there, which is where I spaced out on it, as usual.  Since then, I have kept a bail bonds place phone number in my cell phone just in case.
