Each year, families flock to the Magic Kingdom to take part in a time honored tradition of visiting Mickey Mouse and Minnie, the Disney princesses’ and all of the other Disney characters. For a child, the magic of the Disney experience is being a part of what they see on the television. In person, the characters become real and interacting with them personally can seem like a fairy tale.

While the rides and exhibits seek to amaze children, the parents get in on the excitement by taking pictures with as many characters as they can and helping the children get autographs from their favorite Disney friends. Shopping is another part of the visit. Who doesn’t leave the amusement park with Mickey ears with their names etched on top? Each shop boasts racks of costumes ranging from a Cinderella costume to a goofy costume. A child’s favorite Disney character can be found with patience and a little extra cash from mom and dad. A mermaid costume allows a little girl to turn into Ariel and a prince costume turns a little boy into Prince Eric.

Families enjoy the thrill of the vacation and time together. If they went shopping during the visit, they may also have halloween costumes for their children for the following year.
