My boyfriend and I are in agreement about loving travel but we are not at all in agreement about the places that we want to visit. He is interested in the traditional European travel spots like Amsterdam and Italy and he’d be more than happy to trek all the way to Australia. I am more interested in trips to South America or to less-traveled destinations like Iceland.

One of the places that we often argue about is Mexico. I think that we should be taking mexico vacations on a regular basis since the country is so close to where we live. Trips there are easy and affordable. Heck, we can even afford all inclusive vacations to mexico that would let us see and stay in some really nice places.

As you might have guessed, my boyfriend has zero interest in Mexico. He’s scared of it because of the headlines he reads in the news. He doesn’t feel comfortable going there because he doesn’t speak Spanish. And he’s just never really had an interest in seeing the parts of the country that I think sound so fascinating. We’re learning to compromise on Iceland and Australia but for now we’re at a standstill on Mexico.
